Installation & Bedding

1.0 Direct OEM Replacement The TS20 is shaped to fit the factory Brembo caliper. No carriers, brackets, or modifications required. Reuse your factory wear sensors and hardware unless damaged.
2.0 Bed In Before Track Use A proper bed-in cycle is required before pushing the pads hard. Perform a series of progressively heavier stops from highway speeds without coming to a complete stop, then allow the brakes to cool. Skipping bedding can cause uneven friction transfer and noise.
3.0 Pair With Quality Rotors Pad performance is only as good as the rotor underneath. If your factory rotors are heat-checked, warped, or worn near minimum thickness, replace them at the same time for best results.
4.0 Test Variables Wear rates and operating temperatures vary with car setup, grip level, track layout, driving style, and ambient conditions. Race Technologies tests every compound on a brake dynamometer over multiple applications for the most accurate baseline data — but real-world results will reflect how you actually drive.

Will these fit my carbon ceramic brakes?
No. The TS20 pads are designed for the OEM Brembo steel brake calipers with iron rotors only. They will NOT fit the BMW Carbon Ceramic Brake (CCB) option. If your G8X has carbon ceramics, contact Kies Motorsports before ordering and we'll point you to a compatible compound.
Are TS20 pads street-friendly?
Yes. TS20 is purpose-built as a dual-purpose street and light-track compound. It delivers aggressive initial bite when cold while keeping dust and noise low for daily driving — none of the typical track-pad downsides (constant squeal, gray wheels).
Can I use these for full track days?
TS20 is rated for street and light track use — autocross, occasional HPDE, and spirited canyon driving. For dedicated full track day, wheel-to-wheel, or endurance race use, Race Technologies offers more aggressive endurance and race-only compounds. What G8X models are compatible?

Do these come with hardware or wear sensors?
Race Technologies TS20 pads are direct OEM replacement shapes for the Brembo calipers. Reuse your factory wear sensors and hardware unless damaged. Replacement sensors are sold separately if needed — we can include them with your order.
How do I bed these in properly?
Perform a series of 6–10 progressively heavier stops from highway speeds (e.g., 60 to 20 mph) without coming to a complete stop between them. Drive a few minutes at moderate speed afterward to let the brakes cool gradually. Avoid hard, sustained braking until the bed-in cycle is complete. This transfers an even layer of friction material to the rotor surface and prevents judder, noise, and uneven wear.
