The MMX Performance N55 intake kit removes the inherent restriction in the OE airbox setup, unlocking the breathing capability the N55 single-turbo straight-six is capable of when tuned beyond stock. It is a complete, drop-in replacement designed for F-chassis N55-powered cars including the M135i, M235i, 335i and 435i.

The aluminum intake pipework is mandrel-bent from a single piece for unobstructed airflow into the turbo, and is paired with a dual-entry MMX Performance cotton gauze air filter for a marked improvement in induction noise alongside excellent filtration. The OEM cold-air feed location is retained and attaches to a new MMX lower base which doubles as an effective heat shield around the cone filter element, ensuring the intake is fed cool ambient air rather than heat-soaked engine bay temperature.

Behind the wheel that translates to crisper throttle response, a richer induction note under load, and a meaningful airflow improvement. It is one of the most cost-effective hardware upgrades on this engine.

The main induction pipework is finished in MMX's proprietary anodized black with detailed billet CNC-machined rubber-mounted fixing points that allow for engine movement and prevent unnecessary NVH. Installation takes minutes, requires no cutting or permanent modification, and is fully reversible.
