2mm Pre-Preg CF, 0.55 kg vs 1.3 kg OEM, MT Exclusion Applies

The 2013-2021 dry carbon engine cover is 2mm nominal thickness, 2×2 twill, at approximately 0.55 kg versus the OEM plastic at approximately 1.3 kg. As with the fuse box cover, the 2016+ manual transmission exclusion is due to a revised engine cover shape introduced with that variant. The earlier FA20 cover uses a slightly different lower edge geometry to accommodate the different oil filler and dipstick positions in the early production layout.

Carbon Engine Cover as FA20 Engine Bay Upgrade

The exclusion of 2016+ manual transmission applications is important. A revised engine bay layout in those variants means the engine cover geometry differs and the HKS piece does not fit. Verify your specific application before ordering.

Same MT Exclusion as Fuse Box Cover — Verify Before Ordering

This is the 2013-2021 FA20 chassis application. A separate dry carbon engine cover is available for the 2022+ GR86 and BRZ (AT008 or AT009). The pieces are not interchangeable between generations.
